- 1 tsp whole jeero
- 1 large onion grated fine
- 1 tablespoon ginger garlic
- 1 and 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp hayder
- 3/4 tsp fine jeero
- 1 tsp fine dhanya
- 2 tsp chillie powder (adjust to taste)
- 2 medium grated tomatoes
- Potatoes
- 1-2 tsp tomato purée
- Freshly chopped dhania
Steps to make Chicken curry
- Method
- Heat the oil and ghee. Add whole jeero and onion. Braise. Add ginger garlic.
Add chicken, salt, hayder, fine jeero and fine dhanya. Cook for approx 15 min.
Add tomatoes and Chillie powder. Cook on medium till tomatoes are done. Add potatoes and boiling water. Cook till potatoes are done. Add tomato paste and boiling water to make a thick gravy.
When done garnish with finely chopped dhania.
Serve with rice, Roti or bread.
